Independance Day Parade | TJ Martin and Jeffrey Fontana Park Neighborhoods

Happy Independence Day!

July 4, 2020 will be a unique year of celebration, due to the current Shelter-in-place rules. I am publishing details here for you to stay up on what we are planning. Check back often to see what events are planned as rules potentially change.

No Bike Parade, Car Parade Instead

Since large gatherings of people are currently not allowed per the county rules, we will have a car parade in 2020!

Decorate your car, wear your bright and festive clothes, grab a US flag and plan a patriotic playlist!  We will gather starting at 9:15am along Oakglen Way.  Park along the right-side curb of Oakglen Way starting at the corner of Burchell.  At 9:30am we will start a slow cruise of the typical parade route.

Parade After-Party - Community Gathering

At this point in time, NO community events will be happening.  Our typical community games:

  • watermelon eating contest
  • popsicles
  • festive tattoos
  • water balloon toss

are not allowed. If the county rules change from the June 5th order, we will provide updates here so check back.

We hope in 2021 we can return to our typical community celebration!
